Task: Finishing the animal information board.
Background study and material analyse:
This is the second period of this unit. During the first teaching period, Ss have learnt the names of some farm animals and learnt to describe some farm animals on Old MacDonald’s farm about their basic information , such as their names, colour, size, abilities with the following sentence patterns “ Look at the ________. They are______. They are ______. They can _______.”Ss have known some rules on the farm. That is important for them to be a polite kid not only on the farm , but also in their daily life.
In this period, Ss will follow Old MacDonald and visit the farm. They will be asked to help Old MacDonald feed his animals. During the visit, Ss will learn what food that different animals like eating. The task for Ss in this lesson is to help Old MacDonald finish the information board of some farm animals.
Objectives:
1)To pronounce and understand the words “corn, hay and meat” correctly.
2)To let Ss know some commmon sense about some farm animals’ food.
3)To let Ss know how to deal with our animal friends friendly.
Difficulties:
To reorganise the passage in the group.
Focus:
1) Words to learn : corn, hay and meat
